A proposed rule from the Biden administration would forbid states from enacting bans on transgender athletes being able to compete in sports that align with their gender identity.
“Every student should be able to have the full experience of attending school in America, including participating in athletics, free from discrimination,” Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said.
Under the proposed rule announced Thursday, schools and colleges that receive federal funding would not be allowed to impose a “one-size-fits-all” policy that would ban transgender students from playing on sports teams consistent with their gender identity.
If it goes through, the proposal would become enshrined as a part of Title IX, according to the Associated Press.
The administration said that this proposal would bring “fairness of competition.”
The proposal came about earlier this week on the same day the Supreme Court ruled that a 12-year-old girl who identifies as transgender in West Virginia can continue to compete on her middle school track team, despite the state law being that transgender athletes cannot compete on female teams.
This is an ongoing legal battle in West Virginia.

With the plummeting academic performance of students in standardized testing you are choosing to focus on having boys play girls sports. Really? This is pathetic.
So I bet Mr. Magoo thinks that with the power of his all mighty pen he can decide that sick men can now compete in women’s sports. This is one of many examples of how totally deranged the left is. Go pound sand!
